CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- Rain will be back for some by this afternoon, but for most, showers will hold off until evening.
Light showers will work their way into southeast Missouri at first, before spreading across the rest of the area. Dry air at the surface may keep some of the initial drops from making it to the ground, but gradually that will change.
Outside of rain chances expect the cloud cover overspreading the area to make for a mostly cloudy day.
Temperatures will likely climb a few degrees warmer than yesterday. Expect an afternoon high in the low 50s.
Rain will linger much of the day on Monday.
