CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- It was a chilly but dry day across the region. Clouds will begin to increase overnight, with low temperatures dipping back down near 40 degrees by Wednesday morning.
Our next storm system will bring back the chance for rain Wednesday. Widespread rain will move in from the south, and stick around all day. Rain won't move out until late Wednesday evening.
Rainfall totals have increased slightly. Amounts through our western counties will be between a half an inch to an inch, with an inch to two inches through our eastern counties.Â
Rain will clear out by Thursday, leading to more dry and warm weather. Highs climb back into the 60s by the end of the week.Â
