...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Peak daily heat index values up to around 105 degrees.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Friday.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged hot temperatures and high humidity may
cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out
of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early
morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat
exhaustion and heat stroke.

(WSIL) -- Two people have been arrested for theft in rural Thompsonville.

Franklin County Sheriff's Office says Dale Williams, 37 of West Frankfort and Nathen Karns, 41, of West Frankfort were both arrested and charged with residential burglary and theft.聽

Williams was also charged with possession of a weapon by a felon.

Bond was set at $200,000 for each and both are in the Franklin County Jail.聽
