One fugitive sought out of Williamson County, other fugitive now in custody

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. -- UPDATE: Nov. 5, 2023 -- The second of two wanted fugitives in Williamson County in early October was taken into custody Sunday afternoon. 

Margi A. Thompson was wanted for Theft and Unauthorized Control. 

Thompson was taken to the Williamson County Jail.

UPDATE: 11:19 a.m. - One fugitive is now in custody.

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office said Kelly Hart was captured 35 minutes after posting an alert to the public stating they were looking for the suspect.

Hart is now in the Williamson County Jail.

The sheriff's office thanked the community.

ORIGINAL: 10:47 a.m. - Two people are wanted out of Williamson County for crimes they are suspected of being involved in.

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office alerted the public on these individuals, urging the public to not attempt to apprehend or detain these fugitives as they are possibly dangerous.

Kelly R. Hart, 56 of Marion, is wanted for a charge of criminal trespass to land. Hart is 5'9", weighting 145 lbs. with brown hair and green eyes.

Margi A. Thompson, 51 of Marion, is wanted for a theft charge. Thompson is 5'3", weighing 128 lbs. with brown hair and blue eyes.
