MURPHYSBORO, Ill. (WSIL) -- Persistent.
That's one way to describe a Murphysboro teen who took down a buck that would most make hunters green with envy.
Gage Boucher, a 14-year-old hunter tells News 3 how on Tuesday he bagged a white tail deer that is nearly 21-points and around 190-inches. Which is a big olé' buck! What also makes this buck so impressive is that hunters have been after it for years.
"No, I never knew this deer existed, and as soon as I watched it fall down. I instantly called my dad and told him just shot a monster deer. Like something you see on TV," said Boucher.
The deer is now at a taxidermist and Gage said he should get it back sometime, next year.
