...HEAT ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Daily Heat index values up to 106.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Friday.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged exposure to hot temperatures and high humidity
may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Kentucky Man Wanted on Multiple Charges

PADUCAH, Ky. -- Paducah police are asking for the public's help in finding a suspect in a shots fired investigation. 

21-year-old Lamarcus J. Holland, also known as "LJ", is wanted on charges of Wanton Endangerment in the 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree, and No Operator's License. 

Detectives were called to the area of North 22nd Street and Monroe Street on April 3, 2024. Once there, they found spent shell casings in the roadway, along with a projectile inside a nearby residence. 

Holland is described as a black male, approximately 5'11'' tall, and around 170 pounds. Anyone with information about Holland and his whereabouts can contact the Paducah Police Department at (270) 444-8550.
