MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. (WSIL) -- A bridge in a western Kentucky county is set to open tomorrow after being closed for more than a year and a half.

The Kentucky Transportation District says the Soldier Creek Bridge in Marshall County is set to open on Monday, October 21.

This is along Kentucky 2603, otherwise known as Vanzora Road.

The bridge was closed down in March of 2023 after crews found the substructure was deteriorating.

The contractor for the $1.38 million bridge replacement project is Jim Smith Contracting from Grand Rivers.

The bridge was rebuilt and guardrails will be installed on the morning of October 21. After the guardrails are installed, the bridge will open.
