...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/
TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 108 expected.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Paducah City Commission votes to reduce 2023 property tax rate

PADUCAH (WSIL) -- The Paducah City Commission voted last night to lower the property tax rate from 27.1 to 26.5 cents per $100 of assessed value. 

You need to know your property’s assessed value and your school district. Please note that the City government does NOT set the city or county school tax rates or assess a property's value. 

Property owners will receive a separate bill from the McCracken County Sheriff for County government and other agencies.
