...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/
TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heat index values 100 to 107 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The first prolonged stretch of heat and
humidity of the season will amplify health impacts. Health impacts
will build with each successive day in the heat and humidity.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Touch of Nature kicks off its summer camps in early June

Touch of Nature Summer Camps 2022

CARBONDALE, IL (WSIL) -- Touch on Nature will begin its first week of summer camps in early June.

Touch of Nature is gearing up for another year of summer camps and introducing the EdVenture Camp series. Camps will last for six weeks and includes Forest Day Camp for ages 4-5, Forest Camps for ages 6-7, Eco-Adventure Camps for ages 8-9, and Underway Camps for ages 13-16.
