PADUCAH, Ky. -- Nearly a dozen rail cars were off the track in Paducah with no timetable on how long the cleanup will take.

McCracken County Emergency Management Agency (MCEMA) said a trail derailment occurred with roughly 10 cars overturned on Thursday in the Littleville area of Paducah.

MCEMA stated P&L Railway Transportation officials were on scene, along with DES/Rescue Squad were assisting with the incident.

Officials said traffic on Chester Hack Drive was open, however, the railway was shut down.

There is not a timetable on how long the cleanup will take or when the railway will reopen.
